I represent a retiring pediatric dentist looking to sell his practice after running it for 50 years. It is in Augusta, Georgia, and he would like to sell his patient base and the clinic but is open to leasing the clinic back to the buyer for up to five years if needed. He has consistently collected $1.2M for the last 10 years, which is slower than his younger days. He is open to selling well below market value to the right provider so he can retire.

The owner is open to hiring an associate for a 6-month to 1-year trial period but will want the associate to be serious about purchasing the practice within a year. In the last six months, he has added a new 3D digital X-ray for $95K and a Light Scale for $45K. His clinic is all digital with no paper files.

He has a very tenured staff that will be staying on except for his orthodontic assistant, who only works 1 day a week now and will retire when he sells the practice.

His payor mix is 90% on private insurance and 10% fee-for-service. No Medicaid. He has six operatories with a quiet room for loud kids. The office is 3K square feet, and he has room on the property to add 2.2K more square feet if someone wants to expand to a two-provider clinic. He already has ample parking spaces to accommodate an expansion.

He sees 30 - 35 patients daily but admits the volume could be higher for a younger provider looking to earn more than the $1.2M he collects yearly.

He is open to paying a $1K per day rate or 35% of production for 6 months to a year, but ultimately, he needs to be someone looking to purchase.
