Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dentist for a locum tenens position at a Private Practice in Utah. This 56-day assignment is spread across multiple periods from 06/16/2025, to December 12, 2023, with a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM (some Fridays may be required). The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing a wide range of general dentistry procedures, including fillings, extractions, crowns, bridges, implants, and dentures. As the sole provider during these periods, the dentist will be responsible for all aspects of patient care, treatment planning, and procedure execution.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations and treatment planning

• Conduct general dentistry procedures, including fillings and extractions

• Provide crown and bridge treatments

• Place and restore dental implants

• Fit and adjust dentures

• Diagnose and treat various dental conditions

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care

• Interpret dental X-rays and diagnostic tests

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Eaglesoft software

• Adhere to all practice policies, procedures, and safety protocols

• Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction throughout dental visits

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental techniques and practices

• Manage all aspects of patient care as the sole provider during assignment periods


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice dentistry in Utah

• Experience with Eaglesoft dental practice management software preferred

• Strong expertise in general dentistry procedures, including implants and dentures

• Ability to work independently as the sole provider

• Excellent communication skills for patient education and care coordination

• Flexibility to work across multiple assignment periods throughout the year

• Comfortable managing a diverse range of dental cases

• Possibility of assignment extension beyond the initial 56 days
