Barton Associates is seeking an experienced Dentist for a 48-day locum tenens position at a dental clinic in Oregon. Starting on 04/28/2025, this assignment offers a full-time schedule of Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a full scope of general dentistry, including fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions (simple, complicated, and surgical), dentures, root canals, and pediatric dental procedures. The position involves working with a diverse patient population, including a significant number of pediatric patients. This role utilizes the Dentrix practice management system and offers the potential for extension beyond the initial 48-day period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform a full range of general dentistry procedures
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and treatment planning
- Provide restorative treatments including fillings, crowns, and bridges
- Perform simple, complicated, and surgical extractions
- Deliver root canal treatments and manage endodontic cases
- Fabricate and fit dentures
- Treat pediatric patients, including procedures such as stainless steel crowns, pulpotomies, and pulpectomies
- Manage and treat dental emergencies
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix software
- Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure efficient patient care
- Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure effective communication with patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in general dentistry
Additional Information:
- Oregon dental license required
- Experience in general dentistry essential, including comfort with a wide range of procedures
- Strong skills in pediatric dentistry preferred
- Familiarity with treating Oregon Health Plan (OHP) patients beneficial
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Comfortable with a diverse patient population
- Potential for assignment extension
