We are seeking an experienced Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) to join our dental facility in Harrisburg, PA, as the lead dental practitioner. In this full-time role, you will deliver comprehensive oral health care to our patients, utilizing evidence-based approaches to prevent, diagnose, and treat conditions of the oral cavity and maxillofacial region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough examinations of teeth, gums, and other areas of the oral cavity to assess oral health and determine necessary treatments.
• Diagnose dental issues and develop personalized treatment plans, including extractions, fillings, cleanings, and surgical procedures.
• Administer anesthetics and sedatives to manage patient pain and anxiety during procedures.
• Perform surgical procedures, such as tooth extractions and soft tissue biopsies.
• Provide restorative care, including filling cavities, placing protective sealants, and repairing fractured teeth.
• Educate patients on proper dental hygiene, oral disease prevention, and diet choices to maintain optimal oral health.
• Prescribe medications to treat oral infections and manage dental pain.
• Oversee and coordinate the activities of dental hygienists, assistants, and technicians, ensuring high performance and adherence to clinic protocols.
• Ensure strict compliance with dental health regulations, safety standards, and infection control policies.
• Maintain detailed dental records, including charts, radiographs, intraoral camera images, and lab reports.
• Continuously expand your dental knowledge through ongoing education and research to stay updated with emerging best practices.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
• Active state license to practice dentistry in Pennsylvania.
• 5+ years of experience as a licensed dentist.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and knowledge of oral anatomy and physiology.
• Proficiency with dental equipment, instruments, and procedures.
• Attention to detail and adherence to dental safety standards.
• Effective communication skills to educate and counsel patients.
• Ability to stand for long periods while performing intricate dental work.
