Job Description
- Work Dates Needed: TBD
- Preferred Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:45am - 4:45pm
- Worksite Setting: Tribal Indian Health Facility
- Scope of Work: Provide emergency dental care which may include extractions, restoration, and endodontic treatment and medications. Perform routine dental exams and prevention, which may include x-rays. Document patient chief complaint, objective and subjective findings, diagnosis and treatment provided. Provide routine dental care services consistent with diagnosis of need and within the scope of approved dental privileges. Maintain confidentiality of medical records and other information as required by applicable laws, HIPAA regulations and policies. Knowledge of proper documentation of needed and provided including use of ADA codes. Employee is expected to provide care for all patients eligible for care at NTHS. The care provided will be within the range of services available. Supervises the functions and staff of the Dental dept in the absence of the Chief Dentist. Ensures department is maintaining AAAHC accreditations practices. Other duties assigned.
- Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: DDS Degree or DMD Degree. Active state license (OK license preferred, but other state licenses also accepted). DEA license. 2 to 5 years of dental experience.
