Assistant Director, Case Manager – LMSW

The Assistant Director, Case Manager – LMSW, is responsible for achieving department objectives by managing staff, planning, and overseeing department activities. Reporting to the Director, this role provides clinical supervision to professional Social Work staff, ensuring effective psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team.

The Assistant Director will manage and develop the department's staff by recruiting, selecting, training, and coaching employees to ensure compliance with departmental goals. This role includes supervising and monitoring Social Work and Case Management discharge planning activities, providing weekly supervision to Social Work staff, and serving as a resource to the team. In the absence of the Director, the Assistant Director leads the staff and represents the department in meetings.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
• Minimum five (5) years of previous experience in all aspects of social services and discharge planning.
• Must maintain a valid license and current registration issued by the New York State Education Department as a Licensed Master Social Worker LMSW, required.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), preferred.
• SCREEN certified
